Paula DeSimone - Visiting China's Pearl Industry
In addition to my jewelry design and sales business in the United States, I am now becoming a bit of a tour broker and guide. This avenue developed in part, because of my long standing assistance to past travelers via phone and e-mail contacts. These people wished to visit China, and more specifically, wanted to visit the pearl farms, pearl markets and buy beads and semi-precious stones. I decided I could be of more assistance by helping people discover and experience China while spending time with me and my Chinese guides. It always helps to have local Chinese while traveling to secure the best deals possible.
I co-ordinate guided trips for jewelry supply buyers, jewelry designers, store owners or just people with a sense of adventure. We travel to the Pearl City and and Yiwu to buy beads and stones. We see the pearl farms and finish up with buying beautiful reasonably priced pearls. Buy one strand or hundreds, it's your choice. Yiwu is the place to get glass beads, cinnabar, wood/bone beads, and semi-precious stones in all shapes and sizes. Both places also have finished products for sale.
You can come along with me on my buying trips and deal with my suppliers or travel with my guides, Fannie and Mary. They may be Chinese born, but they are western-at-heart because of living in Canada and extensively traveling all over the world . If you are looking for the ability to cut your costs, China is the place to do it.
Simply fly into Shanghai and we pick you up from the airport to begin your adventure. We plan for hotels, food, and transportation so you don't have a worry. We'll show you Shanghai, the shops and all the tourist attractions. Just give us a week and we'll show you how to shop China. Prices range from $200 to $500/day per person depending on your needs.
Don't hesitate because of medical conditions or allergies, give me a call and we can talk about it.
Let me know if you want further information about a trip. Hope to travel with you.....
